Blackstone Rivers Ranch Wedding – Idaho Springs Wedding Photographer

February 28, 2019

Kendall and Phil’s Blackstone Rivers Ranch wedding this past summer was such a fun day to be a part of! When I first met with Kendall and Phil, they told me they were going an untraditional route and getting a pizza and an ice cream truck. It certainly made for a unique Colorado outdoor mountain wedding.

Kendall decided that she wanted to do a first look with her father and her father-in-law. Not a dry eye in sight, including mine! Kendall surprised Phil’s father with a pendant tied to her bouquet showing a photo of Phil’s mom who passed away. What a sweet moment to witness.

All the Colorado outdoor mountain wedding vibes

Afterward, everyone lined up for the ceremony, and Phil grinned from ear to ear as he saw Kendall walking down the sidewalk of Blackstone Rivers Ranch. The two exchanged vows in front friends, family and the most beautiful (and huge) evergreen trees. If I didn’t say it before, this venue is every Idaho Springs wedding photographer’s dream.

During cocktail hour, I snuck Kendall and Phil out for some romantic portraits. This venue has so many rad photo opportunities. Kendall and Phil didn’t hesitate when I asked if they would be willing to hop in the stream for some photos. YES! This Blackstone Rivers Ranch wedding was just what my creative heart needed.

All you need is love & pizza

Later, the two enjoyed some pizza for dinner from Mountain Crust. If you’re looking for a way to shake things up at your Colorado outdoor mountain wedding, get some food trucks! It’s the perfect way to create a fun and laid back time during your dinner.

Thank you to all the amazing vendors who helped make this Blackstone Rivers Ranch wedding a success! And thank you to Kendall and Phil for allowing me to be your Idaho Springs wedding photographer!
